On the back, below the rim, written in blue, is JOHN A. KENRICK" with the drawing of an urn in the same color. The sides have two ear-like handles made of ceramic. On right side at the bottom is the artist's (sculptor's) signature, "Allison Newsome 2017". The bottom is unglazed.
