A set of three shaped panels stitched together at the corners to form a single valance. Each panel is made from plain woven worsted wool harateen (originally green but faded to a shade of blue) with visible "watered" or "moire" stamped patterning. Each panel shows a shaped bottom edge of drop pendants with rounded, Chinoiserie-style corners. The edges of each panel are bound in pattern-woven wool and linen tape. Narrow wool and linen striped tape is applied in scrolling rococo patterns along width of valance. The panels are stiffened and backed with a roughly spun bast fiber plain weave. Possible tack holes at top edge.
