Letter from Joseph Langland to Judith G. Wood Langland
Description:
Glad to learn that Mike is safely home.; "I know that coming back with Harold gone will be very hard for Mike, and that Mike's return will only serve to sharpen Harold's absence, but that must be now." Is very fit now; playing football on the regimental team with fellows from Ohio State, North Carolina, Syracuse, etc., and is getting black and blue. The Bavarian has made a "distinguished" impression: "I hope to really build it up to a major record of MG in Germany from the human interest angle. We are in a position here with The Bavarian so that in future years it could well become a standard reference in military studies of occupational studies." Trying to write his memories of Harold each night with hopes of publishing them in the newspaper.
