The Windsor House was built in 1836 and was a well-known hostelry for more than 150 years where prominent personages, such as Jenny Lind and Theodore Roosevelt, stayed. The Windsor House was added to the Register of Historic Places of the National Park Service in 1971. The Vermont State Craft Center is located in the building at 54 Main Street.
