Letter, in excellent condition, no tears, slightly stained, from Cynthia Wait to Mr. Parmenter regarding a change in her will and how her property is to be divided after her death. Letter appears to read as follows: "West Cambridge March 17th 1865. Mr. Parmenter Sir, I write you a line to say I would like the following alteration made in my will viz. Instead of bequeathing the buildings&land to my Sister Deborah, or her heirs, after the death of my Brother's if the land adjoining is in their possesion at that time, I wish my Brothers Nathaniel&Harrison Hill to have the use them as I stated to your when I saw you, &at their decesase, I bequeath them to my Sister Abigail Cutter, wife of Elijah Cutter of West Cambridge. or her heirs Any property I may have in my possession at the time of my decease, real, personal or mixed, not herein otherwise disposed of I bequeath to my Brother Nathaniel Hill. I thought of appointing Mr Issac Shattuck as administrator, but if you can reccommend a more suitable person I will be guided by your judgement in the matter. Will please get the document ready as soon as you conveniently can, &my Brother will call&take it&settle with you.
