In the letter, Daniel and Henri tell Doggett what they are tasked with doing everyday as platoon Sargents. They do this by listing every activity done in their platoon by time of day from when they wake up till lights out. Henri N. Boeve came to Springfield College, at the time known as the International YMCA College, September 15, 1915. He joined the Canadian 171 Overseas Battalion during World War I. He was dropped from the college on May 11, 1916 for charges of larceny. Daniel Kruidenier came to Springfield College, at the time known as the International YMCA College, September 14, 1914.
