Letter from Mark H. McCormack to Harry W. Easterly, Jr.
Description:
McCormack indicates to Harry W. Easterly, Jr. that he looks forward to hearing from him as to whether or not there is anything that might be done involving the caddies at Merion and exposure of the Japanese USGA logo at the championship. He confirms that they have agreed to amend their contract with reference to the tent agreement and provides the payments due to the USGA for the years 1980 through 1983. McCormack indicates that Hans Kramer and himself will be meeting with John in New York on Friday, April 25, when they can discuss the logistics of meeting with Oakmont and various other clubs. He explains their reasoning for not including this concept in the U. S. Open program advertisement.
