Topics discussed included the impact of Elephant Butte Dam on Hispanic lands in New Mexico, farmworker strikes near Roswell NM., and El Paso, Texas, during the 1930's, the bracero program and the development of Acala 1517 cotton as a high-quality cash crop in the desert valleys of the rare, exclusive oral histories from ex-braceros and farmers and commentary by scholars Dennis Valdes and Yolanda Leyva.
