This interview was included in letters from Joel M. Halpern to Carl and Nettie Halpern during the time spent in Laos with the United States Operations Mission. Halpern's translator, Aram Udol, interviewed several people during this time. This interviewee, a Khmu', speaks briefly about his life, going on to declare the differences between the Khmu' in Luang Prabang and the Khmu' in the north, who trade in opium.
