Reproduction of a pair of gaiters worn by Civil War Union Army soldiers. They are made out of white canvass and are secured by leather loops fed through eyelets, starting at the bottom and chaining upwards until they are buckled at the top. A strip of brown leather is sewn along the top hem of the gaiters, and a leather strap spans the bottom, fastened by two rivets on each side. A maker's mark on the inside reads "H. J. Moore Newton, Mass 6".
