Shirley apologizes to Bernard for not writing longer letters. In this letter Shirley writes how everything is "moving at such an incredible rate of speed." She has more work then ever, her title is now Director of Ghana's Television and is also a "member of the National Planning Commission, of the Board of Directors of the State Publishing House and Publicity Committee of the Secretatiat for the Third African Summit Conference. Shirley has also arranged "for a visiting Crossroads Quartet to sing at Flagstaff House." She also writes how worried she is about the events that are accruing in the United States.
