This photograph shows 2nd Lt. William Andrew Wilkinson dressed in a United States naval uniform and carrying a duffle bag. He graduated in 1911 from the International YMCA Training School, now known as Springfield College.

During World War I, Wilkinson fought with the the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (an Irish infantry regiment of the British Army formed in 1881) and was killed in action at Ronssoy on March 21, 1918.
