Phil lets Harry know that all is well and there isn't much to report that would pass the censor. They received new "oversea caps" which no one is fond of. He's glad to hear that Aunt Annie received his allotment and asks if Harry plans to do any Spring planting. He enclosed a photo of himself and a comrade of his from Penn. It's been five months since he first arrived in England, and a shipment of gold braid recently arrived that is sewn to their cuffs after six months of service.
