Russell (Mayor of Cambridge, MA; candidate for U.S. Congress); a notice of a public meeting in honor of Congressman Robert Luce on October 25, 1934; a campaign advertisement for Gaster G. Bacon (MA Lieutenant Governor) for Governor, a flyer urging support for alcoholic liquor licenses form the Newton Beverage Dealers’ Association; and sample ballots for the November 6, 1934, election for the 4th Middlesex District. Two folders. Dennis Michael Cronin, Sr. (1895-1979) was the son of Irish Immigrants and a lifelong Newton resident. He lived in Auburndale and practiced law on Washington Street in Newton. From 1933 to 1937 he served on Newton’s Board of Aldermen, representing Newton’s Ward 4 as both a ward and an at-large alderman.
