A tiny square cardboard box (a) with lid (b), white with light-green edges, printed with the logo of "MacKay Cunningham & Co. / Princess / Edinburgh," and containing five wax seals cut from correspondence and identified in ink handwriting on the back: "Jesuit Seal / M. B[word illegible}"; "Princess Alice / [word partially cut off] Damstadt"; "Prince L. Espagny, Lyons France"; Prussian Govt. seal, Feb. '70"; and "Augusta." Bottom of box is inscribed in ink with initials and a name, "[name illegible] Allen." (Initials may be "F L A" and given name "Fanny"; however, Nathaniel Allen's sister, Fanny Lane Allen, died aged six or seven.)
