Annie Wilkinson, sister of William Andrew Wilkinson, writes to Dr. Lawrence L. Doggett in this handwritten 4 page letter dated June 5, 1918. Annie send a memorial card to Doggett and informs him of her brother's death and the comfort she receives in knowing he died serving his country.

During World War I, Wilkinson fought with the the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (an Irish infantry regiment of the British Army formed in 1881) and was killed in action at Ronssoy on March 21, 1918.
