The presentation was made at Home Base on the Springfield College Baseball field. The chair is on home base with the players and coaches ranged around it. Roys stands looking at the chair with his hands in his back pockets. The umpire and the opposing team can be seen behind near first base. On the back of the photograph it says, "SC baseball players presented retiring coach Charlie Roys with a chair prior to his final home game May 5 against UMass-Dartmouth."</mods:abstract>
  <mods:note>Chuck Roys was Head coach of the Springfield College men's baseball team for 18 seasons from 1979-1996. He finished his career with an overall record of 323 wins, 295 losses, and 5 ties, a winning percentage of .522.</mods:note>
