SC Football team preseason conditioning program (1965)
Description:
A description of the 1965 pre-season conditioning program. The program sets a general guideline to the scheduled activities to acquire and maintain physical fitness during the summer of 1965. Though the program is aware of the varying individual needs each team member requires, the programs main intention is to provide a standard of exercises to be followed to achieve physical fitness. The program includes a weight 3-day training program per week, and a calisthenic and running program. The document was written by Coach Ted Dunn . Ted Dunn was the head coach of the 1965 Springfield College Football team that went 9-0-0, and remains the only College Football team to go undefeated and untied during a season. The team received many honors, including Ted Dunn being named UPI New England College Division Coach of the Year and several players received honors including being selected for the All Decade Team.
