Springfield College’s East Campus Outdoor Learning Center for adventure-based training and development, originally established in 1930, was developed specifically to integrate the advantages of outdoor recreation, individual and group leadership, adventure training, and focused human development. Encompassing 82 acres of forest and lakeshore terrain, East Campus now supports a diversity of experiential options, from camping, outdoor recreation, adventure training, and team building programs to a summer day camp. Edgar Munroe Robinson assisted in building of the East campus present lodge, the Pueblo of the Seven Fires, a 4,400 square-foot structure, which is the only authentic southwestern pueblo east of the Mississippi River, and offers three lodges and kitchen facilities.
