Depicted is an ad looking for laymen interested in going to school for church work at the Training School for Sunday School Workers and Pastors’ Helpers, instructed by Rev. E.P. Armstrong. This was an advertisement for the School for Christian Workers, now Springfield College. The training school for Sunday School Workers and Pastor's Helpers was a department of the school that also included the YMCA Training School. Founded in 1885 by Dr. Allen Reed, the school eventually divided with the YMCA Training School becoming Springfield College and the Training School for Sunday School Workers and Pastors' Helpers joining with the Hartford Seminary.
