Edward Hitchcock incomplete sermon on the state of his church
Description:
An incomplete sermon by Edward Hitchcock commenting upon the state of the religious community around him. Hitchcock claims that while he trusts God will bless and increase his church throughout the world, what he sees in his own heart and what he sees in his community is discouraging. However, he finishes by saying that when he sees all of his community discouraged as well he will begin to hope for improvement.
