Sermon notes by Edward Hitchcock for a sermon delivered at Amherst College on January 15, 1857, quoting Mark 10:32, in which Hitchcock deduces from the verse that one should follow the path of duty when one sees it rather than waiting for someone else to lead the way. Hitchcock additionally lists negative aspects of waiting for others to lead the way, and support the idea with additional passages from the Bible.
