[Calvin Chapin] Bayley to Edward Hitchcock describing an experiment using mirrors to reflect rays of light onto a thermometer and a lump of ice and the resulting temperature changes. A diagram of the experiment is included. This note was found within Hitchcock's classroom lecture notes on heat.
