Bound lecture notes by Edward Hitchcock for teaching doctrines of the Bible to the Junior class at Amherst College. Hitchcock covers the concepts of an intermediate state, judgment, heaven, the eternity and immutability of God, and the fall of mankind, among others. References to specific passages of scripture that relate to that day's topic are noted throughout, as are questions for consideration.

The bulk of the notes are dated between 25 September 1828 and 30 October 1829. An insert at the back of the booklet contains two additional dates, March 1836 (which appears to be the date the insert was written) and March 1845 (possibly the last date it was delivered).
