Hitchcock, Jr. explains the interpretations of Professor Richard Owen (from the British Museum in London) and Professor Jeffries Wyman regarding the bones and what name should be given to the species. According to Hitchcock Jr., the suggested species name is Megadactylus Polyzelus.
