Letter from Jeffery Amherst dated December 5, 1760 from New York. The letter is addressed to Thomas Hancock in Boston. Jeffery Amherst gives Thomas Hancock permission to make necessary repairs to the Amherst Schooner, which was damaged during a voyage while transporting Colonel Bastide. Hancock is instructed to charge the repairs to Governor Edward Whitmore and the Government of Louisbourg.
