Letter from William Amherst, younger brother of Jeffery Amherst, to Mrs. Jane Dalison Amherst, the first wife of Jeffery Amherst. In the letter, William discusses his hopes of visiting his sister-in-law and his weariness at recounting a story too many times. The letter was sent from St. James's Place and is addressed to Mrs. Amherst at Riverhead, near Sevenoaks, Kent, England. The letter includes the original red wax seal.
