A plate printed from an illustration by Henry J. Van-Lennep showing a view of a waterfall on Mt. Washington in Massachusetts. The waterfall is identified as "Bashapish," and is currently known as Bash Bish Falls. A stag is drawn into the left side of the foreground of the image and a Native American sits above the falls looking towards the stag. This is plate 14 in Edward Hitchcock's "Final Report on the Geology of Massachusetts."
