An account of expenses by Edward Hitchcock incurred during a portion of his geological survey of Massachusetts and owed to him by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Written on December 6, 1831, the account lists expenses incurred between August 29 and December 5, 1831. Expenses listed include supplies, horse and wagon costs, and personal expenses for Hitchcock and his assistant, among others.
