An account of expenses by Edward Hitchcock incurred during a portion of his geological survey of Massachusetts and owed to him by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The account lists expenses incurred between January and September of 1833. Expenses listed include postage, horse and wagon costs, fees for polishing and smoothing specimens, and personal expenses for Hitchcock, among others.
