Description:
A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benjamin Silliman asks after any new information about some fossil bones that Hitchcock has. Silliman also discusses a lecture given by Bishop John Henry Hopkins, which called many geologists infidels and said that the world was created in six days. Silliman says he will be giving lectures soon as well, stating facts that will go against Hopkins' lecture.
