A sepia-toned photograph, mounted on cardboard, showing a group of women in hats, skirts, and shirtwaists holding bouquets and wearing pins with ribbons, posed on the steps of a grand building with double doors and two columns at either side of the doorway. They were identified by the donor as members of Tent 2, Daughters of Civil War Veterans. The woman in the first row, second from left, wearing glasses, is the donor's mother, G. Gertrude (Harris) Gass (1876-1962), a past president of the organization. Behind her, second from left in the second row, is her sister, Lily (Harris) Ashworth (1879-1947). The donor's grandfather, Augustine M. Harris (father of Gertrude and Lily), was a Civil War veteran.
