The 1936 team was named New England Intercollegiate Champions and finished the season with a record of 9 wins and only 1 loss. The only loss of the season game against Hobart with a final score of 7-8. The team was led by head coach Leo Netter and team captain Walt Colburn. Netter began coaching at Springfield College in 1933 and coached the men's lacrosse team for 5 seasons. He finished his coaching career with an overall record of 30 wins and 12 losses, a winning percentage of .714.
