McCormack forwards Fumiko Matsuki a memorandum he sent to Tony Gadsby-Peet concerning SEGA and the British Open. In his memo to Gadsby-Peet, McCormack indicates that if they are doing a licensing agreement with St. Andrews, there are ingredients here for a very good arrangement which would be shared between the British Open and St. Andrews. McCormack notes the amount that SEGA will be paying in excess royalties to Wimbledon this year and he thinks it would be good for them to do a St. Andrews/British Open SEGA golf game. Attached to this memo are Matsuki's faxes in which she provides the names of the contact persons at SEGA of America (SOA) and SEGA Europe, and notes that these are the people to approach both for sponsorship and licensing. She also explains that SEGA has shown strong interest in licensing with the Indy 500 and that they have lost interest in the British Open due to difficulty in getting permission for the use of the St. Andrews name and course simulation.
