Clint has been to two foreign countries since he last wrote to Rhea and will be in another very soon. He describes their journey through Belgium and the enthusiastic reception they received there. In Luxembourg, he writes that though the people speak German, they feel they have been "delivered" from the Germans by the war. He writes about their pleasant stay in Luxembourg and their Thanksgiving over there. He managed to purchase a chicken and a rabbit for a low price in exchange for doing some dental work, which he hasn't had much chance to do since he has mainly been filling the role of a medical officer. The other dental officer, Lt. Younglove, has been transferred, leaving Clint alone to look after 1850 men, who all need dental work. He wishes her a Merry Christmas and all his love for when his letter arrives.
