Brent has he little he can report home since any news they get that is not from the papers must be kept quiet. There is a new general in the Motor Transport Corps and the French officer Mallet that James mentioned in his letter has trained some of the men under Brent's command. He writes about his mail and about the chaplain of Columbia university, who was the head of the Y.M.C.A. near him but is now heading back home.
