While he was in Vevey, Switzerland, Lazarof composed his Viola Rhpasody. The work is dedicated to Paul Neubauer, who premiered the work. The composition consists of three movements.In this folder, we find a draft of the solo viola part. We have a photocopy of the fair copy with some sections enlarged and taped together with minimal edits in red pencil. We have a manuscript copy of Mvt. III (pages 16-19).
The draft of the viola part is written on Oscol No. 105 Stave paper in pencil with measure numbers and notes about instrumention in red pencil. Photocopies have minimal notes in red pencil. Mvt. II is composed on Carl Fisher No. 22-24 stave paper. Edits found within the fair copy are in red pen. On page 11 of the fair copy, the upper right hand corner is folded. The third movement there are two copies that are enlarged of ms. 62-66. For pages 12 - 19, we have manuscript and photocopy of fair copy.
For the second movement, page 3 is xerox twiced. This second copy is not included in the digital representation.
