The award pamphlet from the twenty-sixth annual meeting of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America that pertains to the Awards of the Silver Buffalo and the Silver Beaver Awards. The booklet explains the basis and procedure for awarding both honors as well as lists the 1936 recipients and all previous recipients of the Silver Buffalo. Laurence Doggett, Springfield College's longest tenured president, received the Silver Buffalo in 1936 for his contributions to the scouting movement as well as his work at Springfield College (then the International YMCA College) where he served as president for forty years. Springfield College was a pioneer in the training of men who went on to become leaders within the Boy Scouts of America.
