Notes:
Richard Morse first joined the YMCA in 1869 as editor and publisher of the new Association Monthly magazine. This began a forty-seven year career which culminated in his appointment as General Secretary of the YMCA’s International Committee. During the Convention at Haverhill, a committee was appointed to make a systematic visitation of the higher educational institutions of the two states. At the State Convention, 28 Associations reported 788 professed conversions for the year; and 30 Associations have since reported 202 professed conversions for 1890. (Year Book of the YMCA, 1891).
A printed caption on the front states" Twenty-Fifth Annual Convention of the YMCA of Massachusetts and Rhode Island Haverhill, Oct 23-26, 1890". Another penned caption on the back reads: "25th Annual Convention, 1890".
