Mr. Horner, class of 1894 of the International YMCA Training School, now Springfield College, began his YMCA career as the General Secretary at the German Branch of the YMCA in San Francisco. He held this position from 1895 until 1898. From 1899 until 1903, he served in the Swiss National Committee at Basle, Switzerland as Traveling Secretary. From 1905 to 1906 he served with the Foreign National Committee as the General Secretary to Portugal at O Porto. And from 1907/08 until 1914 he was the General Secretary at the YMCA facilities in Lisbon, Portugal. He died on August 3, 1927.
