The advertisement, "For Relic Seekers," printed around 1895, is a reprint of the July 4, 1863 edition of the Vicksburg, Mississippi "Daily Citizen." It was distributed by the Gage Tool Company (1883-1919) of Vineland, New Jersey. Due to paper shortages during the siege of Vicksburg, the "Daily Citizen" newspaper was being printed on wallpaper, which this advertisement copies. The wallpaper is an stylized floral stripe roller-printed in pale blue, pink, red, brown, yellow and olive on peach ground.
