People enjoying a celebration behind Residencia Betances. Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción opened Residencia Betances in 1993 to provide housing for previously homeless Hispanics with mental health problems. The five-storey row house was staffed by bilingual and bicultural staff 24 hours a day.
