Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción Executive Director David Cortiella stands at the podium on the stage of the Jorge Hernandez Cultural Center. Next to him is Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. Behind them can be seen the backdrop for the Three Kings Day pageant. On January 6 in much of the Spanish-speaking world, Three Kings Day, or El Día de Reyes, is celebrated to mark the day on which the Magi, or the Three Wise Men, arrived in Bethlehem with gifts for the newborn baby Jesus. The backdrop on the stage depicts a nativity scene.
