Description:
Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción purchased the former Shawmut Congregational Church which had been gutted by fire in 1978, and developed a 27-unit mixed-income condominium project which they called Taino Tower, after the original inhabitants of Puerto Rico. The project maintained the church tower and the church's original arched doors. The condos were ready to be put up for sale in 1991.
