Scanned photographs of people during a National Night Out event.
Description:
This poster shows various people involved in a National Night Out event. In the top picture, a man holds a hand-drawn poster that reads, "Villa Victoria 'Abriendo Puertas.' 'Opening Doors.'" All around him are other people with posters and balloons. In the middle picture, two little girls who have had their faces painted stand behind a man who appears to be one doing the painting (he is wearing a white apron). In the bottom picture, a young girl with her face painted cups her hands around her mouth and smiles or laughs widely for the photographer. National Night Out is an annual crime and drug prevention event held in communities all across the country. The event brings together local citizens, law enforcement, neighborhood organizations, and local officials in an effort to raise awareness of crime and to strengthen partnerships between police and communities.
