Letter to Department of Health, Welfare, and Education.
Description:
Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) wrote this letter to Walter W. Mode, the regional director of the Department of Health, Welfare, and Education on the subject of busing. CORE raises complaints about the School Committee refusing to bus black children at an overcrowded school but busing white children whose school was burned out. They explain why they are against busing but think it's an adequate solution in times of crisis and see overcrowding as a crisis.
