Patrick Gildo "Gil" Santin (Class of 1947, second from left) and William Theodore "Bud" Evans (Class of 1942, on right) stand with two other students as they look over a glass-covered paper set atop a row of filing cabinets. Mr. Evans, a popular classmate and football player, died on December 9, 1941 following an operation in Pittsfield. Gil Santin left to serve in the Naval Air Corps before Fall 1942. "_?, Gil Santin, ?, Buddy Evans" written on back. Photo provided by Joseph Bornstein (Class of 1944), who left the University briefly to fight in the war then returned to graduate in 1947.
