Photocopy of a photograph of the Class of 1882 fountain, given by the Class in 1891, in front of South College. Cast in bronze at the cost of $250 by J.L. Mott Iron Works of New York, the fountain is of thistle and crane design with a boy and a duck. It stands 8'6" tall with two basins and sits in a masonry basin 12' in diameter. "From Hevin Collection c '83" written on back. The date of the photograph must fall between the installation of the Class of 1882 fountain in the spring term 1880 and the fire of Feb 4, 1885, when Old South College was burned down.
