A pair of grey suede, three button length gloves (size 6 1/4) with three white buttons to close or open the wrist on the underside. White leather trim surrounds the button holes and opening at the underside of the glove. Fine stitching holds the gloves together and three lines, referred to as points, are stitched into the top of each glove. Makers marks are stamped on the interior of both gloves. The makers mark in the right hand glove (a) reads "E&S JAY'S", "GRENOBLE", "LE FAVORI", "Grand Prix Paris 1900." and stamped along the right and left side folds are "9." and "9551", respectively. The markers mark on the left hand glove (b) reads "6 1/4" (circled), "Lystome Jay" (in script), "PATENED CUT", "MADE IN FRANCE" and stamped along the right side fold are "9551" located above a circled "ESJ".
