The Y.M.C.A. workers provided soldiers with much-appreciated entertainment and quarters to relax at their canteens and soldiers’ clubs. The American, Australian, Canadian, English, and New Zealand Associations pooled their resources to form the International Hospitality League and provided social services to all Allied troops. This slide is part of a series depicting Australian Y.M.C.A. war work during World War I.
There is heavy damage partially obscuring the right side of the image; Text on border reads, "Australian Y.M.C.A. Historical Record Section; Aust. Y.M.C.A. ? Meals."
